Hestia – front button placket

The Indian summer is here and we thought that the simple yet elegant I AM Hestia created by @solene_bonnet with a front button placket was perfect for it. The best thing about the Hestia skirt is that it is easy and quick to make. And you can wear it all the time, at work, at a night out or even during the week-end. Now get your scissors ready, it is your turn to make yours.

Follow the steps below to create the button placket on your Hestia skirt:

SUPPLIES (on top of the ones already stated in the instruction booklet)

5 buttons of 1.8 cm diameter

PREPARING THE PATTERN

Have the pattern pieces ready at your chosen size.

Cut 2 pieces of the front (instead of 1 time on the fold).

Trim 1 3/16″ inches off the center back. Cut the back twice.

Cut the other pattern pieces as indicated on the booklet.

Each buttonhole measures 3/4″ in height.

They are spaced 3 1/8″ apart.
